JOB VACANCY AT ERA

ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey (ERA) is an umbrella association of 56 LGBTI organizations operating in 9 countries of the Western Balkans and Turkey region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey). ERA’s head office is based in Belgrade, Serbia. Its membership consists of different LGBTI organisations - from grassroots and informal to well-developed advocacy organisations. ERA’s mission is to inspire positive change in society, promote and advocate for human rights of LGBTI people by facilitating cooperation and providing resources and capacity development for the LGBTI movements across the Western Balkans and Turkey region. ERA focuses on these main areas of action: capacity building, advocacy, research, policy development, networking and partnership building, visibility and awareness raising,  fundraising and re-granting.

Job position available

ERA - LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey, is now seeking 1 passionate person who will be able to implement and convey ERA’s strategy and vision with high impact, in the area of  communications. The available position is:

  1. Communications Officer

Recruitment and selection process

The recruitment process for the staff position consists of two phases:

First phase

Submitting a fully completed application package  which has to consist of all of the following:

  1. Fully completed application form in English language. Application form is attached to this Open Call.
  2. CV, which should be up to 3 pages long, in the Euro-pass CV format, in English language. Europass CV template, as well as the Europass CV instructions, are attached to this Open Call. 
  3. At least two recommendation letters from previous employers or other entities/persons who can tell us about your professional abilities, skills and achievements.  Recommendation letters should be made with the letterhead of the employer, contact details of the employer, and should be signed and stamped by the employer. Recommendation letters should be in English language. Recommendation letters should be scanned and sent in an electronic format.
  4. For the Communications Officer position samples of previous work (articles, press statements, social media posts, etc.

Second phase

An interview with selected candidates will be conducted by a three-member ERA Selection Committee. Only shortlisted candidates will be invited for the interview. Interviews will be conducted in English language.

Failure to provide above-mentioned documents in the formats suggested means your application will be automatically rejected without any further revision. Application packages received after the deadline will not be considered.
