LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey
Amarildo has joined ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey as its executive director with operational, financial and administrative focus.
As manager and programme director of PINK Embassy / LGBT Pro Albania (2011-2015) Amarildo has gained extensive experience in project management from a diverse network of donors. Before joining PINK, he has gained 10 years of professional experience as journalist in several TV and radio stations across Albania, as account planning manager in a PR agency and as internship promoter at a recruitment company.
His expertise in financial management and planning, fundraising, human resources management, and communications has provided him with valuable insights in strengthening organizational development and anticipating organizational changes. Amarildo holds an LLM in Public International Law from the University of Nottingham, UK, and a B.A in international Relations from State University of New York.
Amarildo hopes to bring to ERA his extensive knowledge on LGBTI and SOGIE issues, his fundraising, analytical, research, management, organizational, advocacy, communication and PR capacities, by promoting and reflecting standards of work that convey respect to our differences, equality of opportunities, integrity, commitment and trust. His vision is to make sure that LGBTI movement in our region focus its efforts and actions in line with all internal and external dynamics, by developing the necessary organizational, financial, human, institutional capacities and sustainability that would make them protagonists of a new era for LGBTI people in the Balkans, Turkey and beyond.
