LGBTI Equal Rights Association for Western Balkans and Turkey
For the first time a legaslative body issued the topic of LGBTI-rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the middle of 2015. The government adopted a plan for the next year in order to implement the Gender-Actionplan (GAP), which took measures to save and support the rights of LGBTI in december 2015. Hate crime and discrimination against sexual orientation and gender identity was prohibited in february 2016. But the missing acceptance and tolerance of the society could be a burden for progress. The Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung für die Freiheit takes a look at the situation of the LGBT community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
