ERA’s Annual General Assembly is the biggest LGBTI event organized in the region since 2015. The conference is a lobby, advocacy, capacity building and visibility event which brings together more than 160 participants from across the region, Europe and beyond. LGBTI activists, state officials (governments, Parliaments, equality bodies etc.), donors, researchers, journalists, diplomatic community, representatives of international organizations and members of the local community attend the event.
The results of the survey on the experiences of LGBTI people in Southeastern Europe reveal a collective experience of discrimination, harassment, exclusion and violence. The report “Life on the Margins: Survey Results of the Experience of LGBTI people in South Eastern Europe” was published by the World Bank in partnership with IPSOS Strategic Marketing, ERA – LGBTI Equal Rights Association for the Western Balkans and Turkey, and the Williams Institute at UCLA.
This brief provides three case studies of the transition to domestic financing of HIV response in South Eastern Europe after the withdrawal of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. These case studies—of Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia—are intended as a resource for funders, advocates, and policymakers interested in supporting civil society-led efforts and partnerships with government to ensure the sustainability of services during and after transition.
This research report is a summary of the living conditions of LGBTI people based on qualitative and quantitative data collected by Alliance against Discrimination LGBT. An online survey was conducted with members of the LGBTI community. The report provides information on discrimination, hate crimes, access to health services, experiences with emploument and housing and perceptions of well-being.

Ajo filloi si një projekt pilot i dy organizatave kryesore LGBT në Shqipëri, Aleanca kundër Diskriminimit LGBT në bashkëpunim me Të Bashkuar Pro Kauzës LGBT, respektivisht që nga hapja e dyerve të saj në Dhjetor 2014.
“Streha” shelter is the first non-public residential center in Southern Eastern Europe, which helps the LGBTI community in emergency of housing and accommodation. It started as a pilot project of two main LGBTI organizations in Albania, Alliance against LGBT Discrimination in collaboration with United ProLGBT Cause respectively since opening itsdoor in December 2014.
