Availability of sexual and reproductive health and HIV and accessibility for young people from key populations affected by HIV

The National Strategy for HIV 2012–2016 recognizes people who inject drugs (PWID), men who have sex with men (MSM), sex workers and prisoners as key populations in the context of HIV. The strategy for prevention among key populations also includes youth in general as a vulnerable group and envisages specific HIV programmes for all five groups. People living with HIV (PLHIV) are also targeted as a key population, with specific interventions related to treatment, care and support.

Homophobia and Internalized Homophobia in Serbia - Qualitative Research

During 2015, in the period from June to September, the Center for Queer Studies conducted research "Homophobia and internalized homophobia" In examining the attitudes of heterosexual and homosexual people of the LGBT population. Data collection was performed by the semi-structured interview depth. A total of 44 interviews was conducted in five cities: Belgrade (16 interviews), Novi Sad (8), Niš (8), Subotica (6) and Kragujevac (6) and thereby collected over 73 hours of audio material and more than 1,000 pages of transcript.

Access to health services and quality of care for LGBT persons in Albania

Despite various problems faced by the Albanian health system and reforms that have been undertaken in recent years in this regard, so far it has not been undertaken any strategy, action plan or in-depth assessment of the health system with focus on the respecting of the rights of LGBT persons. For this reason, the Ombudsman and ‘Alliance against LGBT discrimination’, supported by the Council of Europe Office in Tirana, undertook this study, which aims to evaluate the issues related to access and quality of health services for LGBT persons in Albania.
